So I was walking over the skywalk between Newell Simon Hall and Gates Center today. There was this guy walking a few steps in front of me. And when we were halfway across this short robot turned the corner and started rolling towards us. I didn't think anything about it except "haha only at CMU do we have robots rolling around" and then the damn thing fell on it's side. And me and the guy just like stopped and stared at it for a second. Then it started making noises and shaking it's camera around. Me and the guy stood there for a minute or so looking at it like why isn't anyone coming to help their poor lost robot. I didn't want to touch it in case it was someone's work or whatever. I figured someone would come for it. So we kept walking and as soon as we turned the corner some guy walked up to us and was like "would you like to take a survey"
The questions were like, "Why didn't you help the robot get up?" "Do you like robots?" "Did you hear the robot say 'Help me!'?" "Was the robot portraying an emotion?"
And now I've spent the whole rest of the day obsessing about why I didn't help the robot. *sigh* |

What I'm doing this semester:
15-317 Constructive Logic. Approx. one homework assignment per week. Class time per week: 3 hours. Work time per week: 7 hours. 2 midterm + final. (PS. I love this class and hate it at the same time).
XX-XXX Probability and Random Processes. Approx one homework assignment per week. Class time per week: 3 hours. Work time per week: 3. 2 midterm + final.
60-466 Game Design for Artists. Approx one assignment per 2 weeks. Class time per week: 6 hours. Work time: 5. Final Project.
60-XXX Electronic Media Studio II (aka video art). Class time per week: 6 hours. Work time per week: 6 hours (so far anyway). Final Project.
15-4XX Game Programming. Approx one assignment per week for the next 9 weeks. Class time per week: 3 hours. Work time: WAY TOO MUCH ~15. That will hopefully go down as a build a better code base to work from. Final Project.
Other stuff:
Computer Chair for Kappa Kappa Gamma. Work per week: 2 hours. This will go to 0 once I get the website up and running.
On the side work for Human Computer Interaction Institute. It's a continuation of work I did this summer. For the past week I was supposed to be debugging code I haven't even looked at. I really have to make time for this Wednesday. Ugh. Work per week: 0 though should be more.
It's a full semester, but once it's done I'll only have one require class before I graduate. Meaning Spring semester will be super light and allow me to really enjoy all the Greek and campus things before I get gone. KKG FOR GREEK SING AND BOOTH! :D |

Did anyone watch the final show???? Holy crap, I spent the whole season hating James Paul and then I liked his final show the best! Reco was my favorite the whole season and then his collection was the worst!
Good show :) Can't wait for Project Runway to be back... though I wish we could just have Project Runway and replace Micheal Kors with Isaac Mizrahi. |

This is my random shout out saying THANK YOU CMU POLICE
You broke up the party at my house that was getting way out of control. I was no part of the party/party planning, I just live here. I swear I have the worst timing ever. I walked out of my room to go to the bathroom, the second time I'd been out of my room this party, and a cop over hears me saying I live here. And he was like gather the other tenants I have to speak to you downstairs. So. Lame. I had no part in this party. I wasn't drinking. I was reading in my room. The whole house smells like booze and the cop was lecturing me and P-he-who-shall-not-named (who was high and drunk at the time) about fire hazards and how they could cite us for this that and the other. Fine 1k for every minor who was drinking here. None of the tenants are even over 21! (though I turn 21 in 2 weeks).
Anyway, I'm just happy my house is quiet again and I can go to sleep at a decent time. Yay! They didn't even take my name. They just cleared everyone out. :-D |

Okay. So admittedly I have fallen off the fashion horse. College killed the moneys, pushed me up a size (and out of old clothes), and made me SUPER lazy. If it's not work or class work it's hard to get me to do it. However I've recently seen this thing with sandals where like you cover the ankles and then it's open toed. I've seen it on some heels and it doesn't look too bad. Not quite my thing, but not horrible by any means. Well its made it's way down to some cheaper stores and it made some really. really. really ugly shoes.

So I was looking for something to watch last night, and I remembered I had wanted to watch a show called Kings. I watched the first episode late last night and just finished watching the fifth. ITS SO GOOOOOOOOOD. Highly recommended :) There are still lots of secrets and I can't wait to finish watching! The 5 episodes that exist so far are on Hulu |
